City of Jiaxing

 

Jiaxing is a large city in the Yangtze River Delta. In order to renew its communication, the city government has announced an international design competition in 2019 to develop a new, innovative design program. The primary idea for the identification is based on the observation that the typical concentric circles of the city map have changed only slightly since ancient times. Our competition proposal, developed in collaboration with Shiyang Hu from Yixiang Studio was selected for the shortlist.
