BMW Art Car

«Protect me from what I want» is largely written over the 15th BMW Art Car. In collaboration with the artist Jenny Holzer, Coande in 1999 designed this racing car. The Art Car has driven the 24 Hours of Le Mans and other races. The "BMW Art Car Collection" exhibition was also designed for the pavilion at Lenbachplatz in Munich.

A special showroom was created for BMW Japan with the aim of presenting the BMW brand as part of a specific German and international industrial culture. Thus, as a first event, an exhibition was conceived under the title "Past, Present, Future". The exhibition illustrated the development of the BMW company and its products parallel to the evolution of science and art, technology and lifestyle, product and fashion between the 1920s and 2000, creating a walk-through time matrix that through its disposition revealed amazing parallels but also obvious contradictions or contrasts.
The Art oft he Motorcycle
With Tom Krens, the director of the Guggenheim Museum at the time, the idea arose to show the 75 years of development of BMW motorcycles. The exhibition were shown in the various Guggenheim museums (New York, Las Vegas, Bilbao and Chicago. Various posters and products were designed for these exhibitions.
