Shenzhen International School of Design (SISD/HIT)

Various teaching modules were developed and implemented for the new design university in Shenzhen (China).

1) As an orientation in the foundation semester, the first project developed was the study “Mapping Global Creative Industry”. In this study, students in various interdisciplinary teams (architecture, industrial design, media design) documented, analyzed and evaluated projects in different regions of the world.

2) Another project involves gaining experience with a systematic creative process. The question here was how to visualize the terms “complex” and “simple”. In addition, the two posters had to be processed differently, namely “digital” vs. “analog”.

3) This project also focuses on the creative process and the task was to develop a brand concept for a given briefing.

4) This project involved developing a web portal for documentation and exchange between students and lecturers at the university. A central question was how different experiences (e.g. Mapping Global Creative Industry) can be made available to different students and lecturers.
