Canton of Thurgau Government Building in Frauenfeld —
Proposal for Atmospheric Accents
 
The proposed images and objects, Color Transition, whose function in connection with the new Thurgau government building is to be understood as atmospheric accents, have been digitally created on computers since the early 1990s. This technique gives the images an objective, industrial character, turning them into intellectual objects. The proposal creates a fresh, objective, and appealing atmosphere that corresponds well with the competence and openness of a contemporary administration.
 
Different color combinations are intended to characterize certain parts of the building atmospherically, which on the one hand creates a positive mood and on the other hand provides orientation. Five color columns are planned for the exterior. Their geometric shape and bright colors contrast with the organic forms of the planting and architecture.
